Overview
Web Manga Reader processes files entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. This means no uploads are required and you can start reading immediately without waiting for files to transfer to a server.
What We DON'T Collect
- Your manga files
- File names or metadata
- Reading history
- Personal information
- Cookies (except essential ones)
- IP addresses
- Usage analytics
How It Works
1. File Selection
When you drag and drop or select a file, your browser reads it directly from your device using the File API. No upload occurs.
2. Archive Extraction
Archives are extracted using JavaScript libraries (JSZip and libarchive.js) that run entirely in your browser. All processing happens in memory on your device.
3. Image Display
Images are converted to data URLs and displayed directly in your browser. They're never transmitted to any server.
4. Session End
When you close the reader, all data is cleared from memory. Nothing is stored on your device unless you explicitly save it yourself.
Third-Party Services
This website may use standard web hosting services. While we don't collect data, standard server logs may include:

- •Timestamps
- •Browser type
These logs don't include any information about your manga files or reading activity.
Open Source
Web Manga Reader uses open-source libraries for archive extraction:
- •JSZip - For ZIP/CBZ files
- •libarchive.js - For RAR/CBR files
These libraries are loaded from our server and run entirely in your browser with no external network calls.
